Alice
Alice is a college woman’s lifestyle and fashion magazine that debuted in November 2015. More than 70 students serve as editors and contributors, producing fashion, entertainment, beauty, lifestyle, food, and health and fitness content. Copies of the magazine are available at launch events and on newsstands in the UA Student Center. Participation with Alice magazine is open to all students at UA.

Bama Life Newsletter
Bama Life is an email newsletter that shares brief and entertaining news with undergraduate students.
Local events, trending holidays (because everyone needs to know when it’s #NationalPizzaDay) and fun campus, city and state news bits make up each issue on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Black Warrior Review
The Black Warrior Review is a nationally-known literary magazine published twice annually by graduate students in the University’s Creative Writing Program. It features fiction and poetry from by Pulitzer Prize and National Book Award winners alongside up-and-coming contemporary writers as well as literary essays and book reviews. The current issue is available in selected Barnes & Noble stores. In addition current and past issues are available in the OSM Store.

The Crimson White is the official student newspaper of The University of Alabama. The CW publishes continuously online, with an email newsletter distributed on Monday and Thursday throughout the academic year. The CW has distributed news to the campus since 1894.

The Student Media marketing team supports overall marketing efforts for the office, as well as for each of the student-run media-outlets. Students serving on these teams create action plans, conduct specialized campaigns and assess the campaign’s impact. Much of the teams’ work is in social media management, marketing, and public relations.

Marr’s Field Journal
The Marr’s Field Journal is a literary magazine written, edited and published by undergraduate students. Published annually in print and online each spring, the journal highlights creative student fiction, poetry, photography, art, dance and musical compositions. MFJ’s purpose is to further the development of young and aspiring writers and artists. UA students can submit via its online form.
Nineteen Fifty-Six
Nineteen Fifty-Six is a student-run magazine focused on Black culture, Black excellence, and Black student experiences at The University of Alabama. Created in 2020, the magazine publishes print editions each semester. Additional content is shared online and through social media. Participation with Nineteen Fifty-Six is open to all students at UA.

Southern Historian
The Southern Historian is an annual journal of Southern history written, edited, and produced by graduate students from the University’s history department. Distributed each spring, each issue features original research articles on an aspect of Southern history and culture, an in-depth interview with a well-known historian and book reviews of recently published history volumes.

Student Media Advertising provides local and national businesses the only means to effectively reach the UA campus community with their sales message. The student staff sells, creates and services a wide variety of products including newspaper, radio, magazine, newsletter, web, digital and transit advertising.


WVUA-FM
WVUA-FM is the radio station for the University of Alabama community. Found at 90.7 FM, it broadcasts 24 hours, 7 days a week, 360 days a year. Student DJs play a mix of rock and roll during weekdays and specialty shows feature a variety of music, like jazz, hip hop and heavy metal, in the evenings and on weekends.
